Post-graduation, I stayed in Washington, D.C. to work at the Institute of International Education, where I managed a variety of USAID-funded higher educational programs for students in developing countries. After four years, I moved to California and began attending the full-time M.B.A. program at UCLA Anderson, with a focus in CPG Marketing and Brand Management. As part of my program, I did a summer internship at MATTEL on the Global Brands Team for Disney Pixar Cars, and a part-time marketing internship at Happiest Baby.

In these past 7 years, my degree in Anthropology inspired me to look for international, cross-functional job opportunities where listening and understanding others was key to success. My current interest in marketing is also linked – you need a fair bit of empathy and sociocultural awareness to be able to connect with your consumers, both of which my Anthropology coursework helped develop. Lastly, after learning alongside engineers, bankers, and lawyers at UCLA, I really appreciate how my background in Anthropology helps me think and see things differently than my classmates.
